About the TXT to PDF Converter
Plain text is the most portable format there is and the least presentable. Sending someone a .txt attachment invites them to open it in whatever their system defaults to, at whatever size and font that happens to be, with no page structure at all. This lays the same content out properly: 48-point margins, a readable line height, automatic pagination and the filename set as a bold heading at the top of the first page.
Two settings are exposed. Text size offers 9, 11 or 13 point, with 11 as the default, and page size offers A4 or US Letter. Everything else is fixed — the margins, the line spacing and the Helvetica typeface are chosen for you, which keeps the output consistent and the tool a single decision rather than a layout project.

How It Works
The file is read as text, split on line breaks, and each line is measured against the available width and broken where necessary before being drawn onto the page. When the vertical position reaches the bottom margin a new page is started.
The significant limitation is character coverage. jsPDF's built-in Helvetica is a standard PDF font limited to the Western European character set, so English, German, French, Spanish and the other Latin-script languages come through correctly, including accented characters and umlauts. Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Korean text will not render properly, because the font simply does not contain those glyphs. If your text is in one of those scripts, this is not the right conversion route.
The heading also uses the full filename including its extension, so a file called meeting-notes.txt produces a heading reading exactly that. Renaming the file before converting is the way to control it.
When You Need It
A writer entering a competition has a manuscript in plain text — the format many writers prefer precisely because it cannot distract them — and a submission form that accepts PDF only. Converting locally gets past the requirement without an unpublished manuscript passing through a conversion site on its way to a competition that has not yet read it.
Someone assembling a formal complaint exports a year of messages from a chat application, which almost always comes out as .txt, and needs it as a document to attach to a grievance or a claim. That export contains a complete record of private conversations, quite possibly involving people who have no idea it is being submitted. Turning it into a PDF on the machine it was exported to is the only version of this that respects everyone involved.
